Banding: Band 7

Location: Parsons Green Health Centre, London, SW6 4UL

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week / 3 days (Full-time or Part-time considered)

Rate: £24.00–£27.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist to join the team at Parsons Green Health Centre, supporting mainstream schools across Hammersmith and Fulham. This locum role is ideal for clinicians with a passion for working in educational settings and delivering impactful care to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face speech and language therapy services in mainstream school settings
  • Complete Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and contribute to multi-agency planning
  • Deliver high-quality intervention and support for children with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support child development
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working in mainstream schools and completing EHCP assessments
  • Proficiency in using SystmOne (S1)
  • Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly across school sites
