Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Admin & Clerical band 3 to join our Sample Reception team at the All Wales Medical Genomics Service working flexibly for 37.5 hours per week. This is a permanent, full time post based at Canolfan Iechyd Genomig Cymru in Cardiff. The post holder will be working within the technical team as part of Sample reception team, and working in a fast‑paced environment alongside Medical Technical Officers, Genetic Technologists and Clinical Scientists.

Responsibilities
  • Book samples into the laboratory database.
  • Provide clerical support to the Genetics laboratory under the supervision of the Lead Genetic Technologist.
  • Take an active part in the appraisal process and in the directorate’s personal development programme.
Qualifications
  • Admin & Clerical band 3.
  • Welsh language desirable; Welsh and English speakers welcome.
  • Permanent, full‑time 37.5 hours per week.
Pay

Band 3 pay progression steps begin at £25,313 and top at approximately £26,999. The expectation is that all staff will meet the required standards and, therefore, be able to progress on their pay step date.
