A major healthcare provider in the UK seeks a qualified clinical professional to work in Rheumatology outpatients. Responsibilities include managing clinics, participating in multi-disciplinary meetings, and engaging in continuing medical education. Candidates should possess full GMC registration and prior NHS experience. This role offers opportunities in clinical trials and is essential for improving patient care and quality standards in a supportive environment.
This is a clinical post focused in the Rheumatology outpatients setting with a potential for education, research, and quality improvement to be included.
Clinical commitments will be up to 7 outpatient clinics per week. There will be a requirement to assess and manage Rheumatology in-patients. Additionally, one clinical session per week will cover the rheumatology helpline to answer clinical queries from patients and one clinical session to write prescriptions for biologics for both inpatients and outpatients.
Attendance at a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting regarding the use of biologics and treatments for ANCA associated vasculitis and complex connective diseases.
There may be opportunities for the post-holder to get experience in a variety of specialist clinics including Early Inflammatory Arthritis, GCA, Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease with access to MSK and Vascular Ultrasound. There are also opportunities for involvement in education and clinical trials with provision of appropriate training.
