Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a specialty doctor in psychiatry to join their multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in clinical psychiatry and will be responsible for managing mental health issues in the community. Qualifications

Doctor with a minimum of 2 years experience in clinical psychiatry practice, and who is interested in working in a specialty doctor position in psychiatry outside of a Training position.

Career Development

A successful candidate would have the option of continuing ongoing work in a specialty doctor position, or considering the option of applying for Specialty Training in Psychiatry in the future. An alternative career path would be progression as a specialty doctor and the possibility of gaining a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) via Article 14 route once required experience can be evidenced in the future.

Responsibilities

The speciality doctor will work closely with the consultant psychiatrist and multidisciplinary team, and will provide clinical support for the assessment and management of mental health problems on a routine and emergency basis. On average 10 Programme Activities per week will be devoted to Direct Clinical Care – caring for patients in the community in the North Mid Beds – Biggleswade area, in the Functional Model.
