What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant to join our friendly, inclusive school, to support SEND children on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of all the children in our care and to raising standards.

Responsibilities
  • Promote our friendly Catholic ethos and work as part of a committed team.
  • Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their learning and behaviour.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils in both classroom and individual settings.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
  • Have the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Have a commitment to innovation, creativity and inclusion.
