Project Support Officer

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Support Officer.

The Champs Public Health Collaborative is seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Support Officer to provide high‑quality professional support to the Cheshire and Merseyside All Together Smokefree programme of work.

The post will be part of the Champs support team, which leads, facilitates, and enables delivery of key programmes on behalf of the nine Directors of Public Health and the Director of Population Health for the Integrated Care Board. The team is hosted by Wirral Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering professional administrative support to project teams.
  • Managing a diverse workload within tight deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Co‑ordinating travel and appointments across the Cheshire and Merseyside region as required.
  • Collaborating with team members while also working independently, using initiative, and responding positively to changing work requirements.

Requirements and skills:

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in project support or a similar role is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the region.
