Overview

A Vacancy at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an experienced, motivated clinician to join our team. You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrable expertise in goal focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.

It is essential that you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work as you will be expected to travel across the North East Essex area. This post is until 31st March 2026. Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.

Responsibilities
  • Provide goal focused rehabilitation and holistic assessments and interventions to support patients to remain in their own homes.
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate rehabilitation as part of a specialist Occupational Therapy team.
  • Supervise junior staff and students and contribute to leadership within the service.
  • Build networks and relationships across multiple sites and clinical teams; embrace innovation and integrated working; deliver excellence in care alongside other OTs, Physiotherapists, Associate Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrable expertise in goal focused rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work with service users across different age groups; good self-management and prioritisation of caseload.
  • Experience in a variety of clinical settings with knowledge of community working challenges.
  • Essential that you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work.
  • Role available until 31st March 2026; internal applicants on secondment.
