Job description
Overview

At SWBH we pride ourselves in providing Specialist services for our diverse population. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic midwife with a special interest in Domestic Abuse to join our team of specialist midwives in the Phoenix Team. The postholder will be responsible for developing the Domestic Abuse service by proactively generating practice innovation and demonstrating expert knowledge and skills. The postholder will also be able to work autonomously within the area of speciality and in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team, utilising opportunities to educate and shape policy across the service.

Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist advice to staff caring for women and families affected by Domestic Abuse.
  • To provide advice and support for women and families directly impacted by Domestic Abuse.
  • Identifying gaps in areas of service provision and developing guidelines/SOPs and staff training.
  • To work collaboratively with the corporate safeguarding team.
  • To look at incidents and provide actions from findings.
  • To be responsible for the planning and delivery of training on domestic abuse.
  • To establish an ongoing cycle of clinical audit to evaluate practice.
