We are committed to improving outcomes for patients with a quality improvement approach and a forward-looking plan, investing in the Acute Therapy, Urgent Community Response, and Virtual Ward services. Our Home First and Virtual Ward models enable people to recover in their own homes with hospital-level support, dignity and expert care.
We are looking for passionate people to join our expanding teams in both acute and community settings. This role is part of the gastroenterology clinical team and focuses on specialist nutrition and dietetic management of patients on the caseload, using specialist knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
- Be an integral member of the gastroenterology clinical team, responsible for the specialist nutrition and dietetic management of patients on the caseload.
- Support the prevention of unplanned hospital admissions by responding to patients requiring urgent assessments and, in collaboration with the patient and community integrated team, set up management plans to enable patients to stay at home where possible.
- Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams and the Nutrition & Dietetic service, acting as an expert on dietetic management of conditions related to your current rotation.
- Provide advice, support and training to staff, advising on changes in dietetic treatment in line with evidence‑based practice.
- Collaborate with Band 7 Team Leads and clinical leads to provide expertise on dietetic management of conditions relevant to your rotation, and to support staff within the wider team.

- Proven specialist knowledge and skills to assess and treat patients with high-quality, complex nutritional and dietetic advice to contribute to patient care and informed health choices.
