Position Overview

Millfield School is seeking a passionate and skilled part‑time Specialist Dance Coach to join the Dance & Drama Department on a maternity cover basis from February. The role is term‑time only, working 6 hours per week (likely Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and is based at Millfield Prep School in Glastonbury.

Compensation

Salary: £4,865.64 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high‑quality dance coaching with a focus on street dance and musical theatre, supporting students from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Choreograph pieces for termly and annual events, maintain accurate registers and termly reports.
  • Identify opportunities for workshops and visits and collaborate with colleagues to support the wider Dance programme.
  • Provide specialist coaching for students preparing for auditions and support performances across both schools.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Professional experience in Street Dance and Musical Theatre.
  • Knowledge of the local and national dance community.
  • A genuine passion for dance in education and the ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young dancers.
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader life of the Dance & Drama Department.
