Position

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Loughton, Essex

Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Starting ASAP

Pay: From £13.69 per hour

Join our special school in Loughton, Essex, where we provide essential support for children aged 3-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties. The facility is fully equipped to support students who require wheelchairs, hoisting, and personal care assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised support to students with complex needs, including ASD, SLD, PMLD, and those exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • Provide personal care, including wheelchair assistance and hoisting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Experience with students with severe and profound learning difficulties.
  • Familiarity with ASD, PMLD, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs.
  • Skill in managing challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
  • Must be willing to do personal care.
