Job summary

A leading community healthcare provider in Chipping Barnet is seeking a motivated Special School Nurse to join their Special School Nursing Team. This rewarding position involves caring for children aged 4-19 with learning disabilities and health needs, managing nursing care, and providing training to staff. The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with strong clinical skills and a passion for child health. Full-time role with competitive salary between £44,485 to £52,521 per annum including HCAS.

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse trained in children's nursing, adult nursing, or learning disability nursing.
  • Up to date clinical skills to care for children with complex health needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, manage, and evaluate nursing care for children in Special Schools.
  • Provide day-to-day management of the care worker staff.
  • Train relevant support staff in line with competency-based training.

Ability to communicate through Makaton or BSL

Education

RSCN or RN(Child) or LD
Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration
