Overview

Job Title: Special Educational Needs Support Worker Primary
Location: Liverpool
Salary: GBP105-GBP115 per day
Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
DBS: Enhanced DBS required (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges
  • Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Support pupils engagement in classroom activities and promote positive behaviour
  • Help build pupils confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and families to monitor progress and adjust support as needed
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two recent professional references
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
