Job Description

• Flexible working — We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.

Are you driven by a desire to help organisations achieve value for money through better procurement and strategic sourcing arrangements? Our Sourcing, IT Strategy & Corporate Services Capability is looking for a Sourcing And Procurement Consultant - Defence. You will have the opportunity to:

• Work on significant and complex sourcing challenges facing public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally.
• Provide strategic advice from transforming organisations’ sourcing teams, delivering complex multi-billion-pound procurements, and advising clients on how to embrace technology to accelerate sourcing processes and harness data.
• Support clients to achieve their desired business outcomes by applying deep technical knowledge and innovative approaches to sourcing and procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement.
• For more senior roles, prior consulting experience is essential.
• Strong delivery experience on procurement/commercial and strategic sourcing projects from buyer and/or supplier perspectives.
• Expertise in navigating complex procurement processes within the Defence sector to deliver value for money.
• Evidence of leading and supporting change initiatives in multifaceted stakeholder environments.
• Experience in managing supplier service delivery arrangements or improving supplier and sourcing relationships.
• Creative and commercial thinking to solve complex procurement challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with strong stakeholder management.
• Self-starter with a growth mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Preferrable qualifications: CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM or equivalent.
• Prior consulting experience in a sourcing context is preferable.
