Job summary

A technology consultancy in Leeds is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to engage with diverse project teams and create high-quality high-level design documents (HLDs). The ideal candidate will possess strong Solutions Architect experience, practical skills in AWS and Azure hosting, and a grasp of microservices architecture. Significant responsibilities involve producing detailed design documents, presenting these for governance approval, and supporting projects throughout their lifecycle. Candidates must hold an active SC Clearance to be considered for this role.

Qualifications

We need an experienced Solution Architect who can engage with diverse project teams, create high-quality HLDs, and support the technical implementation of the agreed solutions. Suited candidates will have strong Solutions Architect / Technical Architect experience with practical experience in :

• AWS Cloud hosting
• Azure hosting
• Microservices architecture

The architect must be able to work across multiple small projects, understand requirements, and produce appropriate solution designs in collaboration with a range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include :

• Producing high-level design documents with sufficient technical detail
• Presenting designs at governance forums for approval
• Working closely with technical leads to explain the solution and provide technical guidance
• Preparing options analysis papers for project teams and supporting them through the approval process.
