A leading cloud services provider in the UK is seeking a Solutions Architect to enhance cloud adoption for partners and customers. This role involves designing workshops, leading reviews of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and providing technical guidance to improve cloud implementations. The ideal candidate should hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, possess hands-on experience with cloud workloads, and demonstrate strong communication skills. AWS Cloud Optimization Success is seeking a Solutions Architect who will build out example scenarios and hands‑on labs to demonstrate best practices for deploying workloads in the cloud. This person will work with internal and external stakeholders to acquire and maintain proficiency in conducting Well‑Architected Framework reviews and to use tools such as AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Health, review the results, and encourage the resolution of any critical issues or improvements detected in the workloads. The ideal candidate will be comfortable talking with implementation engineers as well as the CTO or CFO.
We want to help our customers build cloud native applications and adopt new ways of thinking about technology solutions. We are extending an information‑rich product that uses advanced tooling to deliver the right content and advice to customers as they build and operate their workloads on AWS. You will enjoy the opportunities in this role if you like working with partners and customers, and helping them adopt and execute this solution with end customers.
In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in shaping the solutions‑focused skills of AWS partners and customers with respect to conducting AWS Well‑Architected Framework reviews, implementing best practices to remediate critical issues, and educating customers and partners on how to improve their implementations. You will be responsible for building and maintaining example workloads and hands‑on labs that will be used to educate and onboard partner organizations. You will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS across the partner and customer communities by emphasizing the importance of implementing AWS Well‑Architected best practices. Working backwards from customer business challenges, you will define specific technical enablement strategies that enable our customers and partners to become more successful on AWS.
In this role, you will take part in delivering Cloud Optimization Success workshops and leading labs to enable various partners, customers, and internal stakeholders. You will provide leadership for the technical relationship and act as the trusted advisor for specific implementation questions using tooling and within their processes. You will develop, improve, and execute multi‑day workshops, lead white‑boarding sessions, and respond to inquiries while the partner or customer is learning and implementing the AWS Well‑Architected Framework. You will have the opportunity to dive deep on our AWS technologies and work side by side with some of the top technical talent in the industry.
