Responsibilities
- Support revenue growth and client retention across an assigned geographic region by ensuring a positive client experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Train clients in the use of our content and platform, ensuring their data and application needs are met and they receive maximum value, increasing the likelihood of future subscription renewals.
- Expand the use of our feed solutions within the original buying department and across the company, gathering intelligence and communicating internally to identify revenue retention and growth opportunities.
- Provide feedback on existing products and participate in the development of new products, suggesting applications that enhance the usefulness and value of S&P GMI products.
- Develop information sources on clients, competitors and prospects, and follow call program standards.
- Serve as the primary region contact for S&P GMI and clients, obtaining and organizing information about applications, content needs and technical environments, developing client contacts, assessing potential for additional sales, and keeping records of installation and support activities.
- Act as a primary regional information source for clients about what S&P GMI offers and how it might fit their needs, working with Sales to help qualify and understand prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business from an accredited institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent communication, training and analytical skills; finance knowledge and/or experience (equities and/or fixed income).
- Familiarity with cloud services, relational databases and programming languages.
- Excellent training facilitation skills and ability to conduct effective client presentations.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA designation or progress toward completion.
- Experience with financial data platforms such as Compustat, Capital IQ, SNL, IHS, Trucost, ClariFI, or similar industry‑leading data and solutions.
- Proficiency in database query languages like SQL or programming languages such as Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
- Fluency in European languages, with particular value placed on French or German language skills.
