We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Property Specialist Solicitor to provide expert legal advice, representation, and support across the Council. This hybrid role offers flexibility while giving you the opportunity to work closely with Members, senior officers, and colleagues across the organisation, contributing to high-quality legal services that support the Council's Corporate Plan.

About the Role

As a trusted adviser, you will manage a varied caseload, represent the Council in legal proceedings, and attend public and statutory meetings where required. You will work collaboratively within Legal Services, supporting the delivery of a cost‑effective, responsive, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice, representation, and assistance to Members, staff, and at public meetings.
  • Manage a portfolio of legal matters and undertake advocacy where required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and case law through ongoing professional development.
  • Advise officers on property matters including acquisitions, disposals, licences, and landlord and tenant issues.
