Job description
Job Purpose

To assist and support all aspects of maintenance and remedial works on renewable energy systems. The post holder will have electrical knowledge and be familiar with safety procedures. Previous experience and troubleshooting techniques are highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate good dexterity and familiarity with AC/DC electrical test equipment, including MC4 crimpers and other tooling used within the solar PV industry.

Your Profile
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ideally at utility scale.
  • Experience with network diagnostics and remote communications (desirable).
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, phone/tablet usage, and reporting structures.
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety standards and regulations.
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Level 3 BS7671:2018 (18th Edition).
  • ECS/CSCS Card (desirable).
  • SMSTS (desirable).
Your Tasks
  • Identify and assess risks onsite, follow company and site-specific risk assessments and method statements, and report concerns to managers.
  • Assist with scheduled and corrective maintenance to ensure successful operation of solar plants.
  • Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and third parties as directed.
  • Help troubleshoot monitoring and communication equipment (data loggers, routers, sensors, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and assist with reports and ticketing updates.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities professionally.
  • Be available for on-call duties during weekends.
