The Role

As a member of the CoMind Software Team, you will play a central role in testing, maintaining, and optimising the software powering our existing fleet of neuromonitoring products. Working closely with hardware, product, and clinical engineering teams, you will diagnose issues, implement durable fixes, and ensure software reliability and performance across our deployed fleet.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the product development organisation to bring our next-generation neuromonitoring platform from prototype to production.

At CoMind, all team members work at least 4 days per week from our new Kings Cross offices, plus a flexible work-from-home day.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Testing: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies—including test plans, protocols, execution, and reporting for medical device software, ensuring full coverage across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for both products and internal tools

  • Verification and Validation: Lead formal Software Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 62366, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations, including cybersecurity requirements

  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by enhancing automation, adopting innovative testing techniques, and optimizing testing processes

  • Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Partner with cross-functional teams to effectively identify, diagnose, and resolve software issues, ensuring high-quality product delivery.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 5+ years in software testing, particularly for complex or safety-critical systems

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python (bonus points for C++)

  • Industry Background: Experience in highly regulated industries, preferably in medical device development

  • Technical Expertise: Experience developing test automation and CI/CD pipelines. Experience testing multi-tasking systems and familiarity with signal processing or AI/ML applications using GPU/CPU (preferred)

  • Group life assurance at 4x annual income

  • Comprehensive mental health support, including unlimited access to 1:1 sessions with trained professionals

  • Unlimited holiday allowance (+ bank holidays) and one week of remote working per quarter

  • Free lunch twice per week via JustEat and free dinner on those days where you need to work later
