Are you able to programme PLC from scratch?

Are you comfortable doing a field service role?

Are you able to do remote support for engineers and customers?

If so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is looking for a Software PLC programmer to join their team and help them continue to be a leading supplier of machinery in a wide range of sectors and deliver automated solutions to their customers.

Your role responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for equipment.
• Establish and manage a remote support system for engineers and customers
• Provide remote and on-site support — diagnosing faults, guiding repairs, and implementing software updates.
• Travel across the UK & Ireland for commissioning, integration, and technical support.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and project teams on complete automation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain software documentation

Requirements

• Experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with strong electrical knowledge.
• Skilled in Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fuji, Lenze, LS .
• Background in capital equipment, packaging, or process automation would be advantageous
• Confident troubleshooting remotely and on site.
• Strong communicator and problem solver.
• HNC/HND in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Willing and able to travel regularly within the UK & Ireland.

Hours : Mon - Fri (9 am - 5 pm)
