My client, a digital insurance software development organisation, is hiring an experienced Software Developer to join an established team working on modern web-based applications. This role has been created following recent platform growth and will focus on developing new functionality while enhancing and maintaining existing systems.

You will join a collaborative, fast-paced development environment that delivers customer-facing digital solutions across the insurance lifecycle - from online purchasing through to customer engagement and loyalty platforms. The organisation strongly supports continuous learning and career growth.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for building new web applications, upgrading and enhancing existing platforms using modern technologies, and maintaining current products through testing, debugging, and fault resolution. You will work across the full software development lifecycle and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

The Person

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2:1 Honours degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar software development role
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • - ASP.NET
  • - VB.NET
  • - C / C#
  • - Java
  • Strong understanding of database concepts with experience using SQL
  • Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Proactive, well organised, with strong time management and planning skills

Desirable

  • Experience with application development
  • Exposure to WCF Web Services and Web APIs
  • Experience building or supporting Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
