The Role

The Software Advisory Manager will be responsible for reviewing, implementing, and advising on cloud accounting software used within the Outsourced Finance Service line as well as clients. This role will involve internal consulting to service lines for process improvement and optimisation as well as external delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Client Facing Technology
  • Review and evaluate existing cloud accounting software systems, including but not limited to Gravita core tech stacks such as Dext, Xero and Syft, as well as other complementary apps, depending on the business requirements.
  • Implement new software solutions and provide training to end‑users.
  • Provide advisory services to business owners on the effective use of cloud accounting software, which includes documenting best practices and business development support.
Internal Improvements
  • Work with our client‑facing teams to identify areas for process improvement and optimisation in the Outsourcing service line, improving both the client and team experience. This will likely be an improvement to how we use the core tech stack.
  • Develop and implement strategies for enhancing efficiency and productivity within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals and objectives.
Champion and lead internal capability of cloud software
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in cloud accounting software.
  • Maintain software‑specific certifications.
  • Support the rollout and training of new technology.
  • Support the Digital Champions Group in their initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and support technology‑led delivery propositions.
Operational Reporting
  • Insights and control – Provide actionable insights to drive better performance.
  • Track software usage and agreed KPIs.
  • Use insight to identify opportunities to better leverage and utilise software both internally and externally with clients.
  • Oversee software usage, including onboarding and offboarding users, and managing vendor contracts.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
  • Familiarity with core accounting software and specialist reporting tools e.g., Xero, Castaway, Syft.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Proven experience in accountancy, with knowledge of accounting technology, ideally with a qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and process improvement.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively.
