A local government council in the Bromsgrove area is seeking dedicated professionals to support individuals in maintaining their independence at home. Responsibilities include conducting assessments in accordance with the Care Act and collaborating with various community organizations. The position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and flexible working arrangements.
You will work with people living in the Bromsgrove Area and surrounding villages, supporting them to remain in their own homes and maintain their independence. Your responsibilities include completing assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014, carrying out Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests Decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and collaborating on safeguarding enquiries with the WCC Safeguarding team in line with the Care Act 2014. You will work in partnership with health, housing, police and other community‑related organisations in the Bromsgrove Area to support those we serve. The team is diverse and experienced, comprising social workers and social care workers. We offer a supportive, friendly, learning‑oriented environment with weekly huddles, monthly reflective sessions and opportunities to develop specialist expertise such as Direct Payments or practice education.
Disclosure Barring Service (DBS): This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory DBS criminal records check before confirmation. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions.
