A local government organization in Bedworth is seeking 2 experienced Social Workers for its Family Help Team. The role involves working directly with families in need of support, focusing on safeguarding and intervention. Applicants should possess a relevant Social Work qualification and have experience in managing complex cases. We work are a Family Help Team and work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi‑agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO's and soon NHS Nurse – all working together to meet the holistic needs to our families to reduce risk and keep families together. We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans which meet each individual family's needs and is used with every family, to help them identify positive change in order to develop a plan that works for them. We are recruiting for the role of 2 x experienced Social Worker in our Family Help Team covering Nuneaton & Bedworth on a full‑time/permanent basis, Duty & Assessment as well as Safeguarding & Intervention.
Working hours – 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9 am till 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays.
The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
