Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Adult Social Worker within the Mental Health Hospitals Team to work full time based in Enfield.

Based in Enfield Town; Enfield’s recently refurbished open plan office has bespoke areas for service users and is an environment which supports their smart working policy surrounded by small businesses, bars, restaurants, a buzzing high street and shopping centre. The high-tech multi-agency office has good transport links into Central London and is easily assessable via the M25, A10 and A406.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £45,834 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • To provide personalised assessment, care management and social work services to users and carers arising out of the Council’s Duties and powers under legislation, Council and Group Policy. To provide the social work component of Barnet, Enfield Haringey NHS Mental Health Trust’s multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teams. To work in accordance with Guidelines set out by local management and make full use of local voluntary and statutory resources in delivering a service.
  • Collaboration with the multi disciplinary team in order to undertak(e) assessment of need and establish eligibility for services under the Care Act 2014 and the Care Programme approach.
  • Approach for adults with mental health problems and their carers and families and to provide social work services for adults with mental health problems and their carers.
  • To manage, monitor and review care/support plans involving service users and carers in liaison with other workers and agencies as necessary to meet service user’s assessed need, including users of residential accommodation and other purchased placements.
  • To act as a care coordinator according to the requirement of a care programme approach.
  • To work at all times within the Council’s Financial Regulations in coordinating packages of care and other services.
  • To be aware of resources available within the mental health speciality and to make use of information management systems including technology in the recording and retrieval of information required.
  • To comply with local recording policy and other documentation as required by the Directorate.
  • To be managed and receive professional supervision and to be assessed against agreed standards and targets.
  • To work within a multidisciplinary team participating in duty rotas systems and undertake training as required including training as an Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest Assessor or Practice Educator.
  • To undertake the duties of an AMHP participating in the boroughs AMHP rota and to carry out all duties according to the professional code of conduct and with due regard to Council and Mental Health Trust Policies.
  • To undertake any other appropriate duties commensurate with the post and as directed by the line manager or other senior managers.

To keep abreast of current legislation, government policies and guidance relating to mental health and vulnerable persons.
