Overview

Join us for an exciting opportunity as a Social Worker in the Duty & Assessment Team in Oldham, UK. This locum position offers a rewarding role over 3 months, with a competitive pay of £35 per hour. We’re looking for a Social Worker with experience in duty and assessment, for a full-time role that embraces flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Completing initial assessments to understand the needs and circumstances of children and families.
  • Attending strategy meetings to collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
  • Undertaking S47 investigations to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
  • Formulating and executing Child in Need (CIN) plans and conducting CIN reviews to provide ongoing support.
  • Stepping up or progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Case Conferences (ICPCC), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court processes. While PLO/court experience is desirable, it is not necessary as we provide opportunities for learning and development.
  • Operate on a 4-5-week duty cycle, with flexibility offered to ensure work-life balance.
