Overview

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Children in Need Team to work Full Time based in Leicester.

The salary for this Social Worker job is up to £44,711 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated social work caseload of highly complex issues regularly featuring child protection issues and the Public Law Outline processes.
  • Make, and implement, judgements and decisions with autonomy on cases with high levels of complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge with the oversight of the manager.
  • Plan and implement interventions designed to address needs and reduce risk.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to secure support services for children and their families.
  • Manage/chair a range of multi-agency meetings designated to monitor and progress Child Protection Plans.
  • Keep contemporaneous records on work undertaken, maintain up to date casefiles and produce written reports.
  • Assessments are undertaken with accuracy, consideration and professionalism and enable the views of children and their families to be heard and incorporated into plans and interventions. There is clarity in any risks identified and what will be required to reduce risk.
  • Explore and understand the views of others and adapt a style and behaviour as necessary to ensure positive outcomes. Show respect for the views of others by recognising their contribution and valuing diversity.
  • Develop positive trusting relationships within and outside the team, treating people with fairness and respect.
  • Inspire others by creating opportunities to be creative and innovative, support their development and encourage autonomy to enable them to do their best work.
  • Progress of interventions is actively monitored and remedial action taken where necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
  • Local policy and procedure enables the service to work effectively and efficiently and meet the needs of children and families, in accordance with legislation and best practice.
