Social Worker – Child In Need/ Child Protection Team

Social Worker – Child In Need/Child Protection Team, Crewe UK, with a rewarding hourly rate of £40.10. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Child in Need and Child Protection Service for a 3-month locum assignment in Crewe. This full-time role of 37 hours per week requires someone with a background in frontline safeguarding services. Working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Friday. The role is based at Delamere House, Crewe, with a minimum office presence required for 3 days a week.

• Manage a varied caseload covering children in need and child protection cases.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of 6 Social Workers and a Family Support Worker to deliver exceptional service.
• Participate in a day-by-day duty rota, ensuring team support and case management continuity.
• Conduct assessments, prepare reports, and develop effective care plans to ensure child safety.
• Engage in direct work with children and families, ensuring their needs are adequately met and understood.
