A regional authority in Huntingdon is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Worker to join their Regional Adoption Agency. This role focuses on assessing adoptive parents and working with children to secure loving homes. Ideal candidates are qualified Social Workers with the ability to travel independently. The Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) which is a joint venture between Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council, brings together the very best talent, experience and energy to increase the number of adopters across the county and give children loving and stable families.
We have a 12 month fixed term vacancy based in Huntingdon, but you will be working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, as well as our neighbouring local authorities. If you are an internal candidate applying for this role as a secondment, you must speak to your line manager before applying, to confirm that you can be released from your substantive post.

The role is in the Regional Adoption Agency is with the Assessment Team. The role offers a varied work role including assessing adoptive parents through the two stages of assessment and working with children and their permanent placements.
The team is committed to continuous learning and share our learning and resources across the team, including supporting Student Social Workers in their work-based placement. This is something you will participate with and contribute to.
