What you will do
  • Carry out Initial Assessments to inform care planning.
  • Initiate Care Proceedings where necessary.
  • Take cases to initial case conferences, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
  • Conduct assessments under the single assessment framework.
  • Engage in thorough Care Planning and signposting to appropriate services.
  • Perform risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Prepare detailed reports for initial child protection case conferences.
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences as needed.
  • Complete Section 17 reports for family courts to support proceedings.
  • Draft initial court statements with accuracy and clarity.
  • Apply for emergency care orders in urgent situations.
  • Fulfil your duty by attending court sessions.
  • Carry out home visits to monitor and safeguard children effectively.
  • Chair meetings to facilitate collaborative discussions and decision-making.
Requirements of the Social Worker
  • A Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Substantial frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
