About the Role

Sandwell Children's Trust is seeking exceptional Senior Social Workers to join our Assessment & Intervention Teams. In this role you will play a pivotal part in developing effective relationships with children and their families to identify needs and work collaboratively to achieve positive change.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to the needs of children through S47 child protection investigations or S17 child in need single assessments.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing effective relationships with children and families to identify their needs and help create plans for change.
  • Ensure that the voice of the child is central to your work, using direct work tools to capture and evidence the child’s voice in assessments and plans.
Qualifications
  • Recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Completed the ASYE programme.
  • At least 2 years of post‑qualifying experience as a social worker in a Children & Families setting.
  • Strong knowledge of minimum standards and the ability to promote change in family life.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse information and make informed decisions.
  • Good knowledge of child development.
