To be considered, you must be registered with Social Care Wales or be willing to register.

What you will do
  • Conduct thorough Best Interest Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) legislation.
  • Collaborate effectively with adults at risk and various stakeholders to ensure their safeguarding and well-being.
  • Evaluate complex situations to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled, whilst promoting empowerment and positive risk management for individuals.
  • Prepare detailed and well-structured reports in a timely manner, adhering to strict deadlines and achieving high standards.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary work, providing expert advice and support to colleagues and external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with legal guidelines and organisational policies.
Requirements of the BIA
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK, working as a qualified Social Worker or BIA.
