Job summary

A leading construction services provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their North West London team. This role focuses on managing costs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality social housing projects, including planned maintenance and refurbishment. Key responsibilities include preparing budgets, monitoring spending, and collaborating with project teams. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have strong analytical skills, with experience in the construction sector.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction.
  • Experience within social housing or refurbishment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a commercial team.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and cashflow forecasts.
  • Monitoring project costs against budgets.
  • Preparing tender documentation and evaluating subcontract quotations.
  • Supporting cost control processes including valuations and financial reporting.

Skills

Strong numerical and analytical skills
Understanding of construction measurements and valuation principles
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Experience using estimating or cost-management software

Education

BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Construction
