Job description

At Bike Club, we offer subscriptions for children’s bikes that grow with your kids. Families pay a monthly fee, and when their children outgrow their bikes, we exchange them for a larger size. We refurbish the used bikes and make them available to other families. It’s sustainable and hassle‑free. With over 80,000 bikes, we are the second‑largest bike rental network globally, and the largest in the children’s bike sector

We’re looking for a creative, fast-moving, platform-aware Social Content Creator to take our digital storytelling to the next level. You will conceptualise, script, produce, film, edit, and publish social‑first content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Tasks
  • Produce high-quality, engaging short‑form video content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) several times per week.
  • Capture and edit real‑life bike moments, member stories, unboxings, upgrades, before/after refurb content, educational explainers, and playful family cycling content.
  • Script, storyboard, and film content with strong hooks optimised for watch time and engagement.
  • Edit content with a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, captions, and platform‑specific trends.

Social Channel Ownership

  • Manage and publish across Bike Club’s social channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
  • Stay on top of trends, memes, parent‑led content formats, and viral patterns.
  • Ensure content is consistent with brand tone, visual identity, values, and compliance (child safety, GDPR).

Performance & Optimisation

  • Analyse content performance, audience retention, and engagement metrics to guide creative direction.
  • Test new formats and iterate quickly on what performs.
  • Collaborate with paid social team to create assets that convert well for Ads (Meta, TikTok Ads).

Community & Engagement

  • Engage with comments, questions, and parent conversations in a brand‑safe, friendly tone.
  • Surface community insights and opportunities (UGC, influencer moments, family stories).
  • Identify parents/grandparents/cycling creators to collaborate with.
Requirements
  • You live and breathe short‑form video and understand TikTok/Instagram deeply.
  • You can film, edit, subtitle, and publish content end‑to‑end.
  • You’re naturally creative and endlessly curious about what engages parents and families.
  • You move quickly, test, learn, and adapt.
  • You’re confident on camera (or comfortable directing those who are).
  • You’re emotionally intelligent and know how to speak to parents & grandparents with empathy, humour, and clarity.
  • You understand brand storytelling and values—especially sustainability, affordability, and childhood milestones.
  • You have a portfolio of social videos you’ve produced (personal or professional).
Benefits
  • Remote first – work from anywhere in the UK. You will be required to attend a monthly in‑person team meeting at our warehouse in East London
  • Flexible hours – 37.5 working hours per week. While some Saturday availability is required, we’re open to different work patterns. Our core hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5:30 pm.
  • Holidays – 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional days accrued for each year worked
  • Sustainability impact – you will be working for a B Corp Certified company that actively contributes to environmental and social good
  • Parental leave – enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Bike subscription – £30/month discount towards Bike Club subscription
  • Good laughs – we are a fun team (if we may say so) and have monthly All Hands drinks with the company!
