Qualifications

• Must be entitled to practice in England & Wales as a Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX.
• Significant experience within Social Care law (Children and/or Adults).
• Experience in local authority or public sector legal services.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on Children’s and Adults’ Social Care matters.
• Manage a complex caseload, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales.
• Represent the Council in court proceedings as required.
• Advise senior officers and managers on social care legal issues.
• Supervise junior legal staff as required.
