Overview

I am a 10‑year‑old boy living in Swansea. I am diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, communication delay, and Pica, and I currently do not speak. I need a grown‑up friend who is strong, observant, and preferably male to act as my personal assistant (PA) and driver.

Hours and Pay

• 3 hours per week on Saturdays or Sundays (during term‑time) and 10 miles (per trip)
• 10 hours per week on flexible days and times (during school holidays) and 20 miles (per trip)
• Pay: £13.13 per hour, paid monthly.

Essential Requirements
  • Alert and observant to help me navigate safely, especially if I start chewing inappropriate items.
  • Knowledge and experience of ASD to interpret my non‑verbal cues.
  • Warm, patient, playful, and calm when I become overwhelmed.
  • Respect for my privacy and confidentiality.

  • Male preferred.
  • Previous experience as a PA or in a similar role.
Support Duties
  • Personal care, including nappy changing.
  • Driving me out to places I enjoy.

Probation and DBS

A six‑month probationary period will apply. The salary will be paid monthly. A DBS check must be processed before commencing employment; costs of the DBS will be covered where eligible.
