A healthcare organization is seeking a part-time Nurse Specialist in Cancer Care to play a key role in delivering patient care. This role entails collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of care for patients. The position requires NMC registration and experience in cancer care, as well as the ability to operate across various clinical environments. The salary ranges from £38,682 to £46,580 per annum pro rata, with hours including Tuesday to Friday, and occasional weekends.
The post holder will play a key role in the delivery on cancer services throughout the Trust. To give advice and implement patient care in an area which requires specific clinical knowledge, skills, and experience. To work alongside other clinical colleagues to ensure quality of care to the patients is maximised.

The role of the Nurse Specialist in Cancer Care can be complex and varied, involving interventions and communication with multiple health care professionals across primary and secondary care and other private and charitable organisations. The Nurse specialist role improves the quality and experience of care for patients, reinforces patient safety, demonstrates leadership, and can increase productivity and efficiency (Macmillan 2013).
This post is part time. The working days required due to service demand are Tuesday - Friday 9-5pm. The occasional weekend or evening may be required. Cross site working is also required.

Essential: NMC registration on Part 1; Speciality Related Course (ENB) or equivalent; Significant post-registration experience; Experience in cancer-related care; Willing to undertake Dermoscopy Training and Clinical Examination/Diagnostics.
Desirable: Degree or MSc; Additional communications training.
Knowledge & Skills: Essential includes knowledge of melanoma care, time management, NHS quality standards, IT skills, understanding Macmillan priorities; Desirable includes experience in clinical pathways, patient experience surveys, MDT working, line management.
