Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Skilled Welder for a permanent position in Leeds. The role involves welding sub-assemblies and pressure equipment, achieving high success rates on NDT welds, and adhering to health and safety standards. Candidates should have experience in pressure vessels, stainless steel welding, and manufacturing to engineering drawings. Working hours are Monday to Wednesday, 7am to 4:45pm, and Thursday, 7am to 4:15pm, with a rate of pay of £18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience with pressure vessels and radiographic/ultrasonic tested welds.
  • Proficient in stainless steel welding and welding in 2G position.
  • Ability to manufacture to engineering drawings.

Overview

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for a Skilled Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Leeds. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Rate of Pay is £18.50 per hour. Working Monday to Wednesday 7am till 4:45pm and Thursday 7am till 4:15pm (4 day working week).

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for welding sub-assemblies and pressure equipment using various welding techniques on high integrity pressure equipment.
  • Achieving a high success rate on any NDT welds.
  • Ensuring manufacturing hours and deadlines are achieved to meet the customers' needs.
  • Ensuring you will become part of the right first‑time culture.
  • Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained.
  • Supporting other departments in the manufacture of products.
  • Completion of all paperwork to maintain complete traceability.
  • Slinging and lifting large components.
Essential Experience
  • Pressure vessels.
  • Radiographic and ultrasonic tested welds.
  • Stainless steel.
  • Welding in 2G position and to weld procedures.
  • Manufacturing to engineering drawings.
