Join Our Team: Machinist - Aviation Engineering | Hayes, UK

Are you a skilled Machinist with a passion for precision and a background in aerospace or high-spec engineering? We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team in Hayes, supporting world-class aviation maintenance and engineering operations.

About the Role

As a Machinist, you'll play a critical role in the manufacture, repair, and modification of aircraft components. Working to tight tolerances and exacting standards, you'll ensure our parts meet the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and CNC machines (e.g. lathes, mills, grinders) to produce and refurbish aircraft components.
  • Experience operating horizontal and vertical borers - ideal.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering instructions, and specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Machinist in an aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with aviation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA, CAA) is a plus.
  • A proactive, safety-conscious mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Salary

Up to £34,000 base salary with shift allowance on top.

Qualifications
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training.
  • Additional certifications in CNC programming or aviation maintenance are advantageous.
