Skilled Labourer / Van Driver

Location : Covering Newcastle & surrounding areas

Pay : Negotiable hourly rate

Hours : 9 hours per day (8.5 paid)

Start : ASAP

Type : Temp to Perm (13 weeks agency → Permanent)

Pro Staff Construction are recruiting on behalf of a Construction Company that are looking to hire a Skilled Labourer / Van Driver to join their team.

They are looking for a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer / Van Driver to support multiple sites across the North East.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident with both labouring duties and van driving.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and deliver materials between suppliers and sites covering Newcastle & surrounding areas
• Assist with strip outs, clearances, and general labouring activities
• Support trades and site teams as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of sites and materials
• Follow daily schedules issued by tablet / smartphone
• Conduct basic checks and maintenance of the company vehicle
• Work flexibly to meet last-minute and changing site requirements

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Experience in general building, skilled labouring
• Comfortable driving a 3-tonne pick-up daily
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Good IT literacy – able to use a tablet / smartphone to follow schedules
