Role

Skilled CNC Machinist – 12‑month contract on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights).

Responsibilities
  • Work to technical instructions to deliver consistent, high‑quality machining and inspection across a variety of components and product families.
  • Operate CNC machines, including grinding and laser machines.
  • Operate measuring equipment, including micrometers, plug gauges and surface‑finish equipment.
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
  • Analyse and understand the output of CMM programmes.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure Rolls‑Royce delivers against customer commitments.
Qualifications
  • Recognised time-served or modern apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, along with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction and asset care.
  • Strong awareness of H&S and inspection visual techniques.
Other Information

Operates via a PAYE model; we are unable to accept applications from candidates wishing to operate under their own Limited Company. All applicants will be handled in accordance with current Off‑Payroll (IR35) legislation.
