Job summary

A construction consultancy is seeking an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to manage the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a new warehouse development. The role involves supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and reporting progress. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience, SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications, and a CSCS Gold card. This position will run from November 2025 to June 2026 in Braintree, Essex.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as an M&E Site Supervisor on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical building services.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a new build development of four warehouse units in Braintree, Essex. The contract will commence in November 2025 and run through to practical completion in June 2026.

Location: Braintree, Essex

Contract Duration: November 2025 - June 2026 (6-8 months)

Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead M&E Site Supervisor overseeing subcontractor performance and compliance with risk assessments and method statements.
  • Carry out and record safety inspections, maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
  • Deliver daily Toolbox Talks to promote safe working practices.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring works align with programme timelines and re-scheduling where necessary.
  • Ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Record and report progress to the M&E Contracts Managers.
  • Work closely with the main contractor and wider site team to resolve issues and maintain smooth project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience as an M&E Site Supervisor on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical building services.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Gold card (or higher).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
