Job description

Overview

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the job holder is to monitor the manufacturing production line whilst being responsible for housekeeping and minor maintenance of the aggregate manufacturing plant. The role includes cleaning mixers and confined spaces, and using tools such as pneumatic chisels.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the manufacturing production line and ensure adherence to operating procedures.
• Carry out housekeeping and minor maintenance of the aggregate manufacturing plant.
• Clean mixers and confined spaces, and use tools such as pneumatic chisels.
• Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work while following instructions and adhering to strict health & safety rules.
• Identify potential breakdowns with the plant, assist with maintenance and materials handling.

Qualifications / Skills

• Willingness to undertake training and learn new skills such as operating mobile plant, plant maintenance, first aid and confined spaces.
• Good computer skills; good written and verbal communication skills.
• A tele-handler or forklift truck licence is desirable but not essential.
