Overview

Site Manager - Heritage Project
Location: Stockport
Role: Site Manager - Heritage & Listed Buildings

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all site operations on a Grade I/II listed heritage project.
  • Lead subcontractors, trades, and conservation consultants to deliver high-quality workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, building regulations, and listed building consent requirements.
  • Oversee the use of traditional building materials and conservation techniques (lime mortars, timber repairs, stone masonry, leadwork, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and project teams.
  • Monitor progress, costs, and quality to ensure successful delivery to programme and specification.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing heritage or conservation building projects.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Managerial), and First Aid at Work.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of traditional conservation methods and historic building materials.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
