An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join our experienced Site team at Gatcombe Park Primary School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

HET is a large, fast‑paced Trust with 37 academies across the South Coast, including 34 primary academies, 2 secondary schools and 1 hospital school.

Job / Person Summary

Are you a proactive leader with a knack for facility management? Bring your skills to our dynamic team and oversee maintenance, safety and functionality of our school site. From coordinating repairs to ensuring compliance with health and safety, you will play a vital role in creating a happy learning environment for pupils. This is a key role: you will have responsibility for security, safety, general maintenance and ensuring the cleanliness of our buildings and extensive grounds. You will also help maintain a vibrant school environment to support our vision of enjoyment in learning.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the school site grounds and buildings, including morning inspections and identifying any issues or risks.
  • Oversee security, arrange locking and unlocking of the premises, and act as a key holder.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, including regular training to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Take pride in all aspects of your work to maintain high standards of buildings and grounds.
  • Be a positive and professional face of the school community.
  • Work proactively and prioritise tasks at your own initiative.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the school.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
