The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a range of refurbishment and passive fire protection projects across the North West. Projects span sectors such as healthcare, defence, hospitality, and social housing, and include general building refurbishments, joinery works, and fire door installations/remedials.

The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all site activities across multiple contracts, including refurbishment and passive fire protection works.
  • Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to programme.
  • Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and site operatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, RAMS, and progress updates.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure all fire protection works meet current fire safety standards and relevant certification (e.g., FIRAS).
  • Manage materials, deliveries, and resources effectively to maintain project timelines.
  • Support and mentor site operatives, promoting a positive and safe working culture.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, fit‑out, or passive fire protection projects.
  • Background in joinery, fire door installations, or general building works is desirable.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • CSCS card (Manager level preferred).
  • FIRAS accreditation or working knowledge of fire door and passive fire protection systems (advantageous).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to various sites across the North West.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation.
