Site Manager - Civils (Permanent)

Location: Somerset

Start Date: February

Contract Duration: Full Time Position

Rate: £26.00 per hour

Package: Van provided, digs covered if required

Certifications Required: SMSTS, First Aid

Overview

A permanent Site Manager is required to support the delivery of two major civils-led projects within a holiday park environment. The works involve installing caravan bases, constructing new access roads, and delivering extensions to existing leisure and clubhouse facilities. The site is currently a live golf course undergoing significant redevelopment, and an additional Site Manager is needed to work alongside the existing team.

These projects have a combined value of approximately £6m, forming part of a wider leisure development programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full day-to-day site management of civils and new-build works
  • Conducting site inductions for all operatives and subcontractors
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance across the project
  • Managing and reviewing RAMS
  • Coordinating a workforce of 40-50 operatives
  • Supervising 2-3 working foremen
  • Liaising with a visiting Project Manager
  • Ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are met
  • Managing site logistics and daily reporting
Candidate Profile
  • Strong civils background
  • Experience in new-build or leisure sector projects beneficial
  • Capable of managing medium-sized teams and multiple work fronts
  • Able to work a rotating shift pattern (7 days on / 5 days on)
  • Available to work two weekends per month
  • Open to travel; accommodation provided
