Job summary

A leading energy sector firm in East Lothian is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee substation projects. The role involves managing safety and compliance, coordinating project teams, and ensuring timely project completion. Candidates must have SPEN Authorisation and a strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure. This is a contract position for 4 to 5 months, starting January 2025.

Job Title: Site Manager – Substation Projects
Location: East Lothian, Scotland
Employment Type: Contract (4/5 months)
Start Date: January 2025

About the Role

NRL are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple of our clients substation projects across the East Lothian area. The primary focus will be on harmonic filter upgrades within existing substations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects with a leading team in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee installation and upgrade works on harmonic filters within substations.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting.
Requirements
  • SPEN Authorisation – Mandatory.
  • Proven experience managing substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure and harmonic filter systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
