My client, a dynamic and rapidly growing construction firm based in the Highlands, with a diverse project portfolio and a reputation for delivering excellence across the North of Scotland, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team.

The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive construction site management experience, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  2. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  4. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  5. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
  6. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
  7. Manage site logistics, including the scheduling of deliveries and the coordination of equipment and materials.
  8. Lead and motivate the site team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience, ideally within a similar role within the civil engineering/utility sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Site Managers Safety Training Scheme Certificate (SMSTS).
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualification of a relevant type (CSCS).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Full UK driving license.
